WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF PURCHASING A GE CHARGING STATION WITH EV CONNECT SOFTWARE OVER A STATION WITHOUT THIS TYPE OF SOFTWARE?
GE + EV Connect charging stations offer you a comprehensive and turnkey EV charging solution that enables your property to (a) manage and control station usage and access; (b) set pricing for use of the stations; and (c) integrate management of the charging stations with your other enterprise and front-desk operations. In addition, EV Connect's cloud-based system enables hotels, drivers and charging stations to communicate with one another during the charging process.
DOES MY HOTEL NEED A CHARGING STATION AND, IF SO, HOW MANY?
Would your hotel attract more guests (particularly higher income guests), and build guest preference and loyalty, by offering electric vehicle (EV) charging stations? WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR CHARGE STATION INSTALLATION?
The price for installation varies depending on the property's electric infrastructure (power supply) needs and the distance of the charge station location to the power supply. When your charging stations can be clustered together, it is often less expensive to run electric power supply to the stations. Charging station costs are also dependent upon any ground preparation work (trench, conduit, paving) which may need to be done. This is also the case for the communication equipment (ex. WiFi, Ethernet), which connect the stations to your property's communication and management platforms. DO I HAVE PAYMENT FLEXIBILITY IN HOW OUR GUESTS AND STAFF PAY FOR CHARGING?
GE + EV Connect charging stations give you the ultimate in pricing flexibility. You can choose to charge EV drivers for using the charging stations; or offer charging services at no costs to all EV drivers or to some EV drivers. Pricing and access are entirely yours to determine. You can set rates, define access groups (e.g. Hilton Honors members) and easily change pricing plans based on your needs.
HOW DOES MY PROPERTY GET PAID FOR CHARGING SESSIONS?
You can earn revenue from your charging stations in many ways. The easiest way is to simply add a per night room charge for the use of the charging station - you just add it to the room bill. Per session charges can also take place at the charging station, with the setup of payments through credit/debit cards through the EV Connect payment processing system, who will remit the funds (less any third party processing charges) directly to the property.
WHAT DOES MY STAFF DO WHEN A CHARGING STATION IS NOT WORKING?
Contact EV Connect immediately to ensure that we get your station back on-line as soon as possible. Also, EV Connect provides station-monitoring capabilities, which will send automatic alerts to dispatch personnel - sometimes before your property even knows that there is a problem.
